Richard Verheyen | Service Manager
What started as an apprenticeship for Richard led him to run a successful service department in East Auckland for Holden & Nissan. He has been with the Holden brand for over 15 years and a few years with Nissan.
Tucked away in the lanes of East Tamaki amidst other brand service centres, Richard strives every day to stay ahead of the competition. In this quest helping Richard is his team of eight, two service advisors and six technicians and their unbeatable attitude to make each customer and each day count.
When Richard is not beating the competition, he is involved in day to day functioning of the service department, Richard ensures that customer expectations are met when they walk into the service centre with his problem-solving skills.
When asked about what Customer Service means to him, Richard says “We live in a world where the customer is at the centre of everything that we do. Businesses don’t want an unhappy customer and customer service simply put, is resolving customers issues. It is the simplest and toughest job there is. Richard’s favourite part of the job? Having a customer leave happy with a smile on their face. That’s it. Sounds simple, doesn’t it?
Having worked with the Holden brand for so long we asked Richard about his favourite memory from work. To which he answered smiling – Meeting my wife. Outside of work, Richard spends time hunting and doing pretty much everything that there is to do with motorsports. Richard is also an ardent fan of the Triple 8 racing team.
