An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Service Manager to join the John Andrew Ford & Mazda Grey Lynn team.  As one of New Zealand's premier dealerships we have a long-standing history of serving a massive client base. We provide exceptional service to our customers at all levels of our business, while providing our customers with the best experience possible.

This is a hands-on role with responsibilities for the service reception on a daily basis whilst making sure the levels of productivity, efficiency, profitability and continued improvements are achieved.

As a senior position within the service department, the role is also accountable for monitoring and encouraging excellence in all aspects of our business whilst “Driving” a culture where we want to have “FUN” in what we do.

We're looking for a passionate, experienced and driven individual with a track record of success in a previous service role. Putting the customer at the heart of everything we do is vital as we “Drive” our customer satisfaction scores for our Ford & Mazda Brands as is communicating at all times with respect and integrity.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience as an Advisor (5+ years' experience) or Assistant Service Manager
  • Full clean driver's license & able to drive manual vehicles
  • Confident decision-making and leadership abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to delegate
  • Exceptional organisational & time management skills
  • Skills to lead a team and be highly motivated
  • A strong team focus especially on health and safety
  • Positive work ethic
  • Proven Customer experience and people skills
