Eagers Automotive NZ joins 2019 Baby Show as Car Partner
There’s a new baby in town and four of Eagers Automotive NZ’s Auckland Dealers joined in to celebrate its arrival.
Auckland Motors Mitsubishi, Manukau Hyundai, John Andrew Ford and John Andrew Mazda joined forces this weekend in a show of solidarity under the Eagers Automotive banner to exhibit joint offers at the inaugural Autumn Baby Show at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds.
Event Company, Northport Events has run the Auckland Baby Show in August every year for 26 years and has been planning a smaller, Autumn version for some time due to visitor and exhibitor demand. 2019 saw this dream to come to reality and 110 exhibitors, covering everything from bumps, birth, babies and beyond came together over two full days. Thousands of parents and expecting parents with their support crews wandered the aisles fighting “pram jam”, ensuring they had everything they needed for their family in this exciting time. Northport Events predicts sales across the show will reach “the millions” - an awesome result for the inaugural March event.
Eagers Automotive’s presence at the show was a soft-sell, no pressure environment, focussed around keeping family safe on life’s journey. With vehicle requirements changing throughout life, we wanted to highlight the elements of utmost importance when upgrading to a family vehicle; safety, space, affordability and family’s well-being.
Representatives from each of the four dealerships worked together to promote the popular brands across the stand inside and the vehicles displayed outside. We were proud to take a range of eight of our most popular Ford, Mazda, Hyundai and Mitsubishi vehicles to the show, all of which have been awarded with the highest safety standard in Australasia, a 5 star ANCAP safety rating. Each vehicle was equipped with some of the most advanced safety features available in vehicles today and these were highlighted by “baby on board” style decals with an easy-to-read presentation on stand that explained highlighted features such as “ISOFIX and tether anchors”, ABS”, and “Forward Collision Mitigation” in layman’s terms.
A coffee machine and cafe-style break-out area on the Eagers Automotive stand gave parents a sought-after time-out from the chaos of the show and a remote control ride-on Ranger and a soft play-mat with toy cars, kept children entertained while parents chatted to our team. A capsule and base was on hand to allow people to practise correctly installing into a car and over 2,000 custom made Eagers Automotive “Baby on Board” signs were given away, many acknowledging they were delighted to have one more thing crossed off their shopping list as a result.
Being a high value purchase during a financially sensitive time, Eagers Automotive didn’t expect Baby Show visitors to take the decision to buy a new car lightly. To eliminate some of the stress we put together a very special show offer including a no-obligation, 24 hour vehicle evaluation so people could assess a new vehicle in their own time and in their own environment. In addition to this, we came up with a range of flexible finance plans that were tailored specifically around pregnancy and parental leave ensuring parents could structure their finances to focus on what was most important during that special time.
